IRONWOOD, MI –
The Dryden GM Ice Dogs completed their weekend sweep of the Ironwood Lumberjacks on Saturday night, earning a 10–1 victory at the Pat O’Donnell Civic Center. Dryden maintained offensive pressure throughout the contest, while Ironwood found the back of the net for the first time this season.
The Ice Dogs wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with Aiden Clowater opening the scoring just 50 seconds into the first period. Griffin McGraw, Mason McGinnis, and Jeremy Hutchison followed with goals of their own, giving Dryden a 4–0 lead heading into the first intermission.
Dryden continued its offensive production in the second period, adding three more goals. Kelby Diehl scored on the power play at 8:35 before Regan Anderson struck twice, including a power-play goal, to extend the Ice Dogs’ advantage to 7–0 after 40 minutes.
Ironwood opened the third period with a quick response as Braden Fulda scored just nine seconds into the frame, assisted by Logan Pegg. The goal was Fulda’s first of the season and marked the Lumberjacks’ first goal of the 2026–27 campaign.
The Ice Dogs answered with three additional goals in the final period. Baden Pazdzierski, Ryder Marks, and Khalen Menger each found the back of the net to round out the scoring.
Dryden held a 61–26 advantage in shots on goal, with Ironwood goaltender Holden Fauchon making 51 saves in the contest. At the other end, Ice Dogs netminder Max Calder stopped 25 of 26 shots to earn the victory.
On special teams, Dryden converted three of its six power-play opportunities, while Ironwood finished 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
The Ice Dogs’ offensive depth was on display throughout the weekend series, with contributions from multiple players helping Dryden secure back-to-back victories.
For Ironwood, Saturday’s contest came amid several roster additions over the past week. With new players entering the lineup, the Lumberjacks showed some encouraging moments as the group continues to develop chemistry and adjust to playing together.
Dryden leaves Ironwood with two victories from the weekend series, while the Lumberjacks will look to build on their recent additions and continue developing consistency as the SIJHL season moves forward.
