GALLERY: Pazdzierski scores twice as the Dryden GM Ice Dogs defeat the Red Lake Miners 5–2

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs earned a 5–2 victory over the Red Lake Miners on Friday, October 9, at the Dryden Memorial Arena, led by a two-goal performance from Baden Pazdzierski and 34 saves from Josh Wu.

Regan Anderson opened the scoring at 16:21 of the first period, with assists from Griffin McGraw and Kelby Diehl, giving Dryden a 1–0 lead heading into the intermission.

Red Lake’s McCall Nault tied the game at 5:33 of the second period, but the Dryden GM Ice Dogs responded with back-to-back goals. Pazdzierski restored Dryden’s lead at 8:30 off a feed from McGraw, before Ryder Wolfe added a shorthanded marker at 10:52, assisted by Pazdzierski and Max Caddo.

Cole Blakeley brought the Miners within one at 13:33, but Pazdzierski struck again at 15:42, with Khalen Menger and Adam Zamecnik picking up the assists. His second goal of the night sent the Dryden GM Ice Dogs into the third period with a 4–2 advantage.

Wu stopped all 12 shots he faced in the final frame, and McGraw sealed the victory with an empty-net goal at 18:28, assisted by Diehl and Miller Bruckshaw.

Pazdzierski and McGraw each finished with three points, while Diehl contributed two assists. Dryden outshot Red Lake 51–36 and killed all five Miners power plays, adding Wolfe’s shorthanded goal along the way.
